After passing the Covid-19 Paid Leave law, NYS lawmakers also passed the NYS Paid Sick Leave Act. Under the act, which goes into effect September 30, 2020, almost all employers will be required to provide job-protected, paid sick leave to all employees, regardless of the number of hours they work.
